What People's Say About Place

I love roots cafe, the servers are so friendly. The food is fresh and yummy! It is pretty fast, they have free WiFi, what else can someone ask for? Today I stopped in for a coffee and muffin. I decided on the coffee cake muffin. They checked the allergy information so I would not have an allergic reaction. They even double checked with the baker who check the recipe! I ended up getting a drip coffee which was also flavorful. I typically get iced americanos so a nice warm change on a cold winter day in Cleveland. So many options! It does get busy so go early :-)

Root Cafe is a fantastic spot, especially for anyone looking for all-vegetarian and vegan dining options. I really appreciated how easily they agreed to modify my order. I had the vegan power bowl, which was truly amazing. It featured fresh veggies and lots of flavor. The only thing I would have loved was a bit more tempeh, but that’s a minor suggestion in an otherwise delicious dish. The vibe at Root Cafe is great, casual and welcoming. Even when it was busy, the ordering process was smooth and easy. It’s clearly a well-run place that makes plant-based dining both accessible and enjoyable. If you’re in the area and looking for a fresh, flavorful meal in a friendly atmosphere, Root Cafe is definitely worth a visit.

The Root Cafe is a gem. They serve an excellent cup of tea. (I recommend the House nut milk) A true community asset. Wonderful world, beautiful people. Delicious menus!

I was a vegan. I have the utmost respect for anyone who can sustain being began and makes it a business. I think it's wonderful. I however am very disappointed. I'm not sure if they make their own baked goods and perhaps it was just the muffin I got, but the coffee cake muffin was dry and lacked flavor. I did come on a Sunday at noon so perhaps it sat out for a bit too long. I'm not sure. The coffee was very good as was the Mayan Mocha which was very similar to the Aztec spiced hot chocolate Godiva used to make. I cannot praise the coffee/ beverages enough. Unfortunately the muffin was kind of a flop. I will probably give it another try in a few weeks because maybe it was just the batch. I will update then.

This is one of the most beautiful and unique cafes in the area. Genuinely kind staff and a community refrigerator for any guest. The menu is so full of delicious food and the coffee and tea selection is great!

I can easily give them 5 stars because the food is great, beverages are great and the coffee is great. Maddy give us outstanding service and she made my Macchiato coffee as it should be. Thanks Maddy

I come here for quick lunches but recently took my mom here for her visit to CLE and she loved the food, the atmosphere. The chef brings your food out to you. Even when it is out the door busy, Everyone here brings great service. Its quaint, quick and an overall lovely experience.

The root is one of my favorite spots in Lakewood. It consistently hits the spot and has phenomenal food for vegans and non-vegans alike!
